Join us on Thursday 19 March for a little Spain-ish dinner (with a cheeky nod to its close neighbour) alongside my special guest, Thomas Robertson.
As the force behind Alimentaria ( Movida Wholesale ), Tom has travelled extensively through Spain—down vineyard rows, into bodegas, and behind the scenes in restaurants and kitchens—to ensure the very best of the Iberian Peninsula makes its way to Australian shores.
Tom’s wine journey began in Sydney hospitality, honing his craft as a sommelier at venues including GPO Sydney and Bennelong. He later moved to Victoria, where he led imports at Samuel Smith & Son / Negociants Australia.
A true lover of food and drink, Tom brings the stories, the history, and the good stuff in the glass—best enjoyed over a shared meal.
This time we’re heading to South Yarra, to the stunning Omnia, led by Stephen Nairns. With experience across some serious kitchens—Matilda, Vue de Monde, and New York’s iconic Eleven Madison Park—Stephen’s talent is on full display at Omnia, through an elegant, produce-driven menu shaped by European flavours and techniques.
