Antonio Fattori is the third generation in his family – all Antonios – to grow vines and make wines at their family’s Terrossa estates. We have known Antonio now for 20 years, he is a good man, who is meticulous and exacting, and we have complete confidence in what he does. Our relationship was the impetus for our ‘Antonio’ project, a joint venture that started with a Pinot Grigio in 2018 but now has a new addition to the stable; appropriately, a Soave – made by this Garganega purist who believes that only 100% of this grape will do.

Made from fruit grown on the vineyards near Antonio’s home, he picks fruit early, close to a week before most, to retain freshness. After harvest, the fruit is gently whole bunch pressed and the wine is made entirely in stainless steel. This bright Soave is led by white stone fruits and a touch of apricot but also has a lovely saline note and that characteristic green almond finish that screams of place and variety. This is all underpinned with a mineral note, zingy acid, a dry finish, and that moreish Soave textural quality.

Highlighted by aromas of lime blossom, honeydew melon and florals with texture.
