This week let us bring you something a little different.

Bande Apart is the boutique wine project of Jess DiGiorgio (and collaborator Jamie), sourcing small parcels of fruit from some of Australia’s coolest, most expressive sites — Coonawarra, Lenswood, Whitfield, and King Valley. Rooted in South Australia but reaching across state lines, the project is built on a simple premise: get out of the way and let the wine speak.

Jess works with light hands — wild yeast ferments, zero filtration, no shortcuts — so that variety, vintage, and vineyard can come through clearly and honestly. The range is eclectic yet coherent, spanning Adelaide Hills Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, Coonawarra Cabernet Franc, and King Valley Aligoté, each wine a laser-focused expression of place and personality.

With only 2–3 barrels made per variety, every bottle is a limited-edition glimpse of Jess’s vision: wine that is delicate and  refreshing.
