SUMMARY:Tapanappa Winery With Ben Andrew Public Tasting Saturday 22nd August 12pm – 2pm
DESCRIPTION:Tapanappa is a winery built on a single conviction: that place\, not winemaker\, determines the character of a great wine. Every bottle traces back to what Brian Croser calls Distinguished Sites — vineyards in South Australia where geology\, climate\, and variety converge with uncommon precision. \nThat path began in 1976 when Brian and Ann Croser founded Petaluma\, methodically matching varieties to regions across Clare\, the Adelaide Hills\, and Coonawarra. Croser planted Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Piccadilly Valley from 1978\, later adding Shiraz and Viognier at Mt Barker. The historic Bridgewater Mill\, acquired in the mid-1980s\, became home to Croser sparkling wine. \nThis Friday\, our good friend Ben from Terroir Selection — distributor for these exceptional wineries — will be joining us to guide the tasting. \nJoin Us — Complimentary Tasting at LeRoi Brighton \n\nDate: Saturday 22nd July\nTime: 12pm – 2pm\nVenue: LeRoi Brighton\, 347 Bay Street\, Brighton Vic 3186\n\nOn Tasting: \n2025 Eden Valley Riesling \n2025 Piccadilly Chardonnay \n2025 Tiers Chardonnay \n2019 Whalebone Cabernet Shiraz \n2023 Foggy Hill Pinot Noir \nThis is a wonderful opportunity to discover one of the pioneer and legend of Australian wine

SUMMARY:Domaine Bonnigal Bonnet Public Tasting Saturday 29th August 12pm-2pm
DESCRIPTION:This week\, we’re delighted to welcome our friend Loïc Avril from As You Wish Wines\, who will be pouring and showcasing one of his favourite producers from the Loire Valley: Domaine Bonnigal-Bonnet. \nLoïc needs little introduction — formerly Head Sommelier at The Fat Duck\, he is now Beverage Director of the Lucas Collective and was named the 3rd Best Sommelier of Asia & Oceania in 2022. \nDomaine Bonnigal-Bonnet was founded by best friends Jean-Baptiste Bonnigal and Stéphane Bodet\, whose paths first crossed in the wine industry in Saint-Émilion. After gaining their diplomas\, Stéphane remained in Saint-Émilion while Jean-Baptiste travelled to New Zealand and Australia before returning to the Loire\, where he worked for several years with François Chidaine in Montlouis-sur-Loire. \nIn 2016\, Jean-Baptiste took over his family estate in Amboise and invited Stéphane to join him. Together\, they share a vision centred on purity\, precision and a deep commitment to organic and biodynamic farming. Their vines are carefully tended through regular hoeing\, minimal treatments\, leaf thinning and manual harvesting. In the cellar\, fermentations rely on native yeasts\, while tirage for their sparkling wines is completed at the domaine. \n\nJoin Us — Complimentary Tasting at LeRoi Brighton \n\n\nDate: Saturday 29th August\nTime: 12pm – 2pm\nVenue: LeRoi Brighton\, 347 Bay Street\, Brighton Vic 3186\n\nOn Tasting: \nNV Brut d’Enfer Blanc’ Chenin Blanc AOP Crémant de Loire  \n  \n2024 Touraine Sauvignon Blanc  Sauvignon Blanc AOP Touraine  \n  \n2024 Le Clocher  Chenin Blanc AOP Amboise  \n  \n2019 Les Séminées’ (Côt) Malbec AOP Touraine  \nJoin us this week for a taste of their thoughtful\, precise Loire Valley wines.

SUMMARY:Joshua Cooper Public Tasting Saturday 12th September 12-2pm
DESCRIPTION:Join us at LeRoi on Saturday 12 September\, when our good friend Josh Cooper will be joining us to pour a selection of his wines. \nBorn and raised at Cobaw Ridge\, the winery founded by his parents Alan and Nelly Cooper\, Josh was immersed in organic and biodynamic viticulture from an early age. He made his first vintage in 2012\, producing just a single barrel from fruit grown in the Cobaw Ridge vineyard. Since then\, his range has expanded to include a thoughtful collection of classic\, experimental and more esoteric wines. \nWith a focus on Chardonnay\, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon\, Josh’s wines are an honest exploration of place and season. Working with carefully selected fruit from vineyards across central and western Victoria\, he places great importance on quality\, provenance and minimal intervention. \nRecognised as one of Australia’s most exciting young winemakers\, Josh was named James Halliday’s Best New Winery for 2024 and won Gourmet Traveller Wine magazine’s Young Winemaker of the Year in 2020. \nWe look forward to welcoming Josh to LeRoi for an afternoon of great wine and conversation. \nJoin Us — Complimentary Tasting at LeRoi Brighton \n\nDate: Saturday 12th  September\nTime: 12pm – 2pm\nVenue: LeRoi Brighton\, 347 Bay Street\, Brighton Vic 3186\n\nOn Tasting: \n2025 Joshua Cooper Chardonnay \n2025 Joshua Cooper Dash Farm’s Mt Alexander Central Victoria Chardonnay \n2025 Joshua Cooper Rose \n2025 Joshua Cooper Doug’s Vineyard Romsey Macedon Range Pinot Noir \n2025 Joshua Cooper Balgownie Old Vines Maiden Gully Bendigo Cabernet Sauvignon \n  \nThis is a wonderful opportunity to discover this amazing Winemaker

SUMMARY:Wine Dinner at Vivace Ristorante with Special Guest Andrew Guard Thursday 22nd October
DESCRIPTION:Not much\, if you ask fine-wine importer and distributor Andrew Guard! \nAt the end of 2012\, Andrew was named the 66th most influential person in Sydney in The Sydney Morning Herald’s Top 100. To put that into perspective\, city planner Graham Jahn ranked 68th\, while Australian Test cricket captain Michael Clarke came in at 70th. Joanna Savill\, co-editor of the SMH Good Food Guide\, described Andrew as “a pioneer of new-style wine importing”. \nAndrew began his career with an apprenticeship at InterContinental Hotels in Sydney before joining Tony Bilson’s hugely influential Treasury Restaurant as a sommelier in 1993. Treasury was home to an extraordinary cellar\, filled with remarkable wines\, including bottles dating back to the 1800s. It was also the kind of place where Australian wine legends such as Len Evans would gather for lunch. Words By The Wine Idealist \n\nFor many years\, I have been a huge admirer of Andrew’s portfolio. He has introduced Australia to some of the most exciting\, individual and sought-after producers in the world\, including Ganevat\, Collier\, Houillon\, Labet\, Gramenon\, Foillard and many more. \nAndrew has an incredible instinct for discovering the next rising stars of the wine world. Around here\, we affectionately call him the Guard Father! \nFrom my early days as the wine buyer at France-Soir through to the present\, Andrew has been a tremendous mentor and inspiration. I have been waiting for this collaboration for a very long time\, and I could not be more excited to finally bring it to life. \nTogether with our wonderful neighbour at Vivace\, we are thrilled to present a very special wine dinner celebrating Andrew Guard\, his extraordinary portfolio and the remarkable growers he represents. \nThis is going to be a truly memorable evening of great wines\, great food and even better stories. We cannot wait to share it with you! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n5 Courses Menu with Wine Matched \n$259 Per Person \n7pm -10pm \nTickets Non Refundable \n  \nOn arrival \nCrostino Vitello Tonato \nNV Vincent Careme Vouvray Petillant Brut Nature \n  \n1st Entree \nHiramasa Kngfish Crudo\, Yuzu\, Red Onion Powder\, Fried Capers \nSourdough Focaccia Sea Salt\, Whipped Garlic & Herb Butter \n2022 Domaine De La Pepiere Muscadet Gorges \n2023 Domaine Rene Bouvier Bourgogne Aligote Sans Soufre \n  \n2nd Entree \nHomemade Tortelloni Di Zucca\, Pumpkin\, Sage\, Butter\, Pecorino Cream \n2023 Alex Foillard Cote De Brouilly  \n2024 Antoine Lienhardt Gamayoptere Coteaux Bourguignons \n  \nMain Course \nSlow Cooked  Lamb Shoulder – Mushroom Duxelle\, Burnt Celeriac\, Pickled Vegetable \n2021 Domaine De La Tour Du Bon Bandol Rouge \n2021 Domaine De Montcalmes Terroir Du Larzac Rouge \n  \nCheese \nGorgonzola\, Cheddar\, Tripple Cream Brie \,Crostini\, Honey\, Almond Praline \n2019 Chateau Joanin Becot Cotes De Castillon
