Description

The Bedouet family’s history in the region dates back to the 1890s, when the estate was created by Henri Bedouet. His grandson, Michel, took possession and expanded the holdings when he assumed the reins in 1990. In 2010, he began the conversion to organic farming. Le Pallet is in the heart of the appellation and is one of the newly elevated Crus in the region. These are some of the oldest vines in Michel’s holdings, planted on gneiss and mica-schist, farmed organically, hand harvested and aged for two years sur lie with an additional year in bottle before release. Pallet is mostly produced by the local cooperative, so Bedouet is one of the few small producers to make this special Cru. This is a great way to truly experience one of the great terroirs of Muscadet.
