Description

A mild winter was followed by an abnormally warm and dry season from spring to harvest, leading to an exceptionnally early harvest. The first grappes were picked on the 19th of august, the earliest since 2003.  The summer heat wave lead to a loss of 20% of chardonnay juice volume due to evaporation.  Cool nights allowed for aroma concentration and preservation of acidity, crutial for the balance of a warm vintage. The 2020 vintage brings fleshy and succulent white wines with a lovely citrus acidity. It will start to drink perfectly in 2023 and to be enjoyed over the next 5 years.
