Langhe Nebbiolo DOC offers a more immediate expression of this noble grape, traditionally sourced from younger vineyards not yet destined for Barbaresco. Typically made in a fresher, more approachable style, it provides an excellent introduction to the character of Nebbiolo and the house style of quality producers, often at a fraction of the price of their top wines. Musso’s Langhe Nebbiolo is fresh and lively, combining pure fruit with classic Nebbiolo notes of tobacco, tar and crushed rose petals.

93 Pts, Gary Walsh (TWF) – “Red fruits, almond, floral notes and fennel, something of an earthy stony character too. It’s medium-bodied, has a juiciness to red fruit and cherry, fresh balanced acidity offering a bit of cranberry crunch, tannin is grainy but ripe and sits well within the wine, again that stony character, closing with bright red fruit and a gentle chewiness. Lovely wine. Better than quite a few Barbaresco! Could twist my arm for 94 points even. Either/or. It’s a triumph given the vintage.”
