Description

One of Clos de la Barthassade’s two AOC Terrasses du Larzac cuvées, Les Ouvrées is a blend of 55% Syrah, 30% Mourvèdre, and 15% Grenache. Each variety is vinified naturally with indigenous yeasts and aged separately—Syrah in concrete eggs (with whole clusters), Mourvèdre and Grenache in barrels and demi-muids—for around 20 months. Sulfite levels are kept very low.

This vintage is Syrah-driven, with a vibrant spicy, peppery character and expressive red cherry notes. The palate is fresh yet rich, with beautifully polished tannins and a juicy, mouthwatering finish. Elegant and true to its Terrasses du Larzac roots.
