Description

Few names carry more weight in white Burgundy than Leflaive. This Mâcon-Verzé is drawn from five estate-owned plots — Les Chênes, En Perret, Le Monté, Escolles, and Les Muses — farmed biodynamically since 2004. Harvest is done entirely by hand, with grapes pressed on-site in Verzé before the musts are transported daily to the Domaine’s winery in Puligny-Montrachet for fermentation and ageing.

Vinification takes place in vat, with 15 to 16 months of ageing before bottling. The “s” on Domaines Leflaive is intentional — a distinction used by the family to separate wines sourced outside their core villages of Puligny, Chassagne, and Meursault.

The wine itself is classic Leflaive in character: pure, floral, and mineral, with a lively energy that makes it easy to enjoy now. A natural choice while you wait for the Domaine’s premier and grand cru wines to come around.
