Description
Emmanuel Brochet operates from the village of Villers-aux-Noeuds, just south of Reims, where he tends 2.5 hectares of organically farmed vines within a single, uninterrupted parcel. The vineyard—home to Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, with some vines dating back to 1962—has been cultivated organically since 2008, a testament to Brochet’s genuine respect for the land rather than a passing trend.
For this release, Brochet presents his inaugural non-vintage cuvée under the “Selected” label, sourced from the Premier Cru village of Pierry. The blend is composed of 70% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay, with 65% from the 2020 harvest and the remainder drawn from reserve wines. Raised entirely in oak and disgorged in 2023 with a minimal dosage of just 3 g/L, this Champagne exemplifies both Brochet’s precision and his unwavering commitment to expressing terroir.
