Aromas of liqueured cherry and red plum, even a hint of wild raspberry, greet the nose in voluminous fashion, together with faded rose petals, some ‘forest floor’ and a little malty barrel note. The fruit is vibrant and intense in the mouth, both juicy and chewy, with some spice and subtle oak entwined, the tannins bold and fleshy, all flowing to a long finish with a gentle amaro flourish.
