Tavel Sables – ‘Sables’ is made from a maceration of whole bunches of Grenache, Cinsault, Clairette and Carignan;  Sables is reference to a selection of plots planted in the Astien sands – a historic terroir of the lower Rhône Valley – following fermentation it is aged in two truncated cone-shaped wooden vats for 10 months. This displays deep sweet aromas of red and black fruits, spices and beautiful herbal complexity. This is slightly deeper in tone than Vaucroze and with an exquisite aftertaste.
