Description
Winter 2023 saw us undertaking a long overdue European sojourn, with plenty of wining and dining, as well as a handful of cellar visits – including to the iconic L’Anglore in Tavel.
Owners the Pfifferling family have led a revival of, and specialise in, the classic long-forgotten style which once made Tavel famous throughout France. Rosé wines which straddle the style of reds, dark in colour, intense in flavour, yet vibrant and light on their feet. They are wines we buy and drink each year, and are among our favourites year in, year out.
A blend of Shiraz, Merlot and Pinot Noir, a deliciously juicy and spicy blend inspired directly by our tour of Domaine l’Anglore. Only just above rosé in terms of weight and depth, while offering the complexity of a red. Full of raspberry, red cherry and aniseed spice. Long and refreshing on the palate, a wine made to perfectly match the warmer seasons of Australia.
