“Remarkable colour for a 6 year-old shiraz: deep red-purple, and the bouquet is very complex as well as fresh and youthful, but the depth and complexity are arresting. There are spice and herb whole-bunch ferment touches as well as mellowing berry aromas and a lick of chocolate. It’s full bodied but with remarkably soft tannins that caress as well as fill the mouth. Four-plus years in barrel have not left an oaky mark on the wine.
