Description

Grape variety 100% Viognier.

Vineyard This vintage is the result of a blend of five different terroirs of the appellation (Jeanraude, Verlieu, Peyrolland, Sainte Agathe and Bassenon). Exposures vary from south to south-east on steep hillsides overlooking the Rhône. Planting densities are high, 9,000 vines/ha, and all work is manual.

Terroir Granite, sandy, poorly founded soil.

Vinification All plots are harvested manually and vinified separately. After pressing, the musts are severely clarified. Alcoholic fermentation at low temperature is slow and malolactic fermentation is complete.

Aged 10 months in 225 l barrels, including approximately 10% new wood.

Alcoholic content 13% vol.

Tasting With an elegant nose where citrus notes stand out, the palate offers a lovely flavor making the whole very digestible.
